大學學測成績今天公布，台中女中林冠汝因家中經濟不佳，全家七口經濟全靠母親一人獨撐，她省吃儉用一年花不到新台幣一千元，未來想念醫科，她說，幫助別人很有成就感。
林冠汝學測成績七十級分，因家中經濟全靠媽媽一人獨撐，為減輕家中經濟壓力，她平常不太亂花錢，零用錢全用在交通費、購買文具上面，十分精打細算的她，還會特別利用文具店打折時，購買大批的文具囤貨，她自述「我非常小氣」。
為節省花費，林冠汝幾乎不常和同學出去吃飯，聚餐時也盡量將餐費控制在百元以內，每天通勤搭公車時，她還會特地提早幾站下車，避免被扣車錢，就是要享受十公里免費公車的優惠。
喜歡動漫的林冠汝，有時看到喜歡的周邊商品，她總是克制心中的物欲，不斷告訴自己「有看過就好了」，手機是媽媽送給她的升學禮物，但只有通話功能並無購買無線網路，平常僅用來和家人聯繫。
林冠汝減少了平時的開銷，扣除生活用品由媽媽負責，仔細換算，林冠汝自己一年的花僅此一檔費還不到一千元，她更將在校內打工的錢全部省下來，要當作將來上大學的生活經費。
林冠汝將來想朝醫科邁進，她表示，因為幫助別人很有成就感，想成為醫生幫助別人。
從日本新潟港搭波音929噴射水翼船，約1小時，就到了佐渡兩津港。佐渡這座島嶼，是僅次於沖繩本島外日本最大離島，卻連許多日本人都不見得熟悉。我在佐渡，看到似曾相識的影子。它擁有金銀礦山，卻隨著時光荒涼，宛如日本版九份。然而佐渡並不悲情，它自成一格，遺世獨立。
佐渡予人一種奇異的時空感。踏入南部小木地區的宿根木村落，時空就此凝結，像上演一齣歷史穿越劇。17世紀時，盛產金銀的佐渡島是德川幕府的直轄地，宿根木附近的小木港成為金銀運輸港與重要西向航線停泊港，全國各地船匠紛紛前來，憑藉造船與船運業，宿根木村落迅速繁榮。
當時船匠把製船技術運用在建築上，利用海灣地形沿著狹窄小路或溪流，建造出類似船型的房屋。船板成了建材，壓艙石則成了橫越小溪的橋梁。19世紀中葉，這兒共有150幢房屋，居民約570人，小小村落就擁有約20多艘千石船。
隨著金銀礦業與造船業沒落，兩津港取代小木港成為佐渡對外重要港口，宿根木逐漸滄桑。現在居民約60人，村落仍保留17世紀舊貌，是日本國家級重要傳統建築群保存區之一。穿梭在如迷宮般的狹窄小巷，懸掛的古老招牌、小水溝就是洗衣場，從1892年開始的旅社伊三郎家依舊運轉著，散發懷舊的味道。
步出宿根木，鄰近小木港出現一艘艘漂浮在海面的盆舟，與遠處汽船形成強烈對比，又讓人墜入另一場異時空。小木港暗礁密布，居民於是將圓形洗衣盆改造成盆舟。電影《神隱少女》主角千尋就是利用這款交通工具，前去尋找好友白龍。佐渡盆舟因此沾染了一絲宮崎駿式魔幻色彩。
操縱盆舟的女船家告訴我，家人至今仍保留乘坐盆舟傳統，出海捕魚。但更多盆舟轉為觀光用途，供慕名而來的觀光客體驗。她把木槳交我手中，我起身搖槳，沉甸甸不好使，盆舟只能無力的原地打轉。趕忙交還船家，讓她把我們送回岸上。
佐渡的奇特氛圍，源於一場淘金夢。1601年，採礦人發現佐渡金山的金礦脈。鼎盛時期，佐渡金山開採大量黃金與白銀，不斷送往江戶（現東京），是德川幕府重要財政收入來源。如今佐渡金山遺留的產業，成為日本最大金銀山歷史遺跡，並列入世界遺產候選名單。
走在長約400公里的採礦坑道，燈光昏暗，氣溫約10度。這兒早已不挖礦，因觀光解說而配置的設備與機器人，重現當年情景，傳來鏗鏘敲鑿聲。出了坑道，看見因開礦而塌陷的山頂，像金山開口笑，留下歷史痕跡。
為了體驗當年淘金，我來到西三川黃金公園。營業股長西野重信解釋，金礦分成砂金與山金，前者為砂土含黃金，後者黃金隱藏於岩石或礦脈中。還是淘砂金容易些。我們將膠盆置於人工水道，向下連砂帶水舀起，不斷左右旋轉。黃金重、砂石輕，最後瀝出砂石，沉在底部的金箔就此現形。一群日本銀髮族剛好接在我們後面，不停賣力搖動膠盆，像小孩子玩遊戲。「來這淘金的人都嫌時間不夠用噢。」西野重信說。這裡所有你想像得到的食品，舉凡冰淇淋、巧克力、蛋糕甚至酒，都撒上金箔。
鑲金鑲銀的佐渡，不因時空更迭而褪色，反而因為這種奇特歷史感，令人更加著迷。
